There is a need in our community for low-cost bicycle repair services. Efforts to provide such services through semi-annual Ride Right/Ride Bright events and the efforts of altruistic individuals and organizations in the community have been unable to fully meet this need. Community bike shops are a proven model for meeting these needs and THE HUB Community Bike Shop has been established with the goal of meeting this need in Las Cruces.
THE HUB patrons will be able to:
-
Use bike shop facilities and tools to repair their bicycles allowing the patrons to spend more time bicycling;
-
Acquire basic bike repair skills; and
-
Observe and promote rules of the road and safety while traveling through our community as a pedestrian or bicyclist.

THE HUB Used Bicycle Distribution Program has been established to provide bicycles at no cost to individuals who are experiencing homelessness/near homelessness or have qualified for the earn-a-bike program, which is currently being developed.

In addition, THE HUB usually has a number of refurbished bikes for sale for very reasonable prices.
