COMMUNICATE
Velo Cruces serves as a hub for bicycling communication through this website, our Facebook page, and email list. Velo Cruces hosts a calendar of all thing bicycling, including:

Events of interest to the cycling community
To find out about biking in Las Cruces, this is where to start.
ADVOCATE
Velo Cruces is the voice for the cycling community, insisting that our city council supports and advocates for cycling, propelling the complete streets initiative, participating in the discussion of the Rio Grande Trail (proposed to run from El Paso to Colorado), promoting the installation of bike racks around the city, and any other opportunities that arise to promote the improvement and safety of bicycling in Las Cruces. When an issue develops that calls for group action, Velo Cruces will reach out to cycling clubs and organizations to mobilize the cycling community to action.
PROMOTE
There are many great groups doing good work with cycling in our community: New Mexico State University, Safe Routes to School, and Optimist Club, among others.
Velo Cruces also sponsors The Hub Community Bike Shop and the Ride With Grace adaptive cycling program.
